Young learners can win big in Lions essay/poster competition

The competition is a chance for young people to express their impressions of the humanitarian side of the Covid-19 pandemic in an essay or artwork

The Benoni Lakes Lions Club invites youngsters aged between 11 and 13 to capture Kindness Through Covid-19 in an artwork or essay.

Member of the club Beaulieu Maré explained the contest is aimed at giving young people in Benoni an opportunity to convey how they are able to extend kindness to others during the difficult times everyone is experiencing due to the pandemic.

“We are excited to see how creative young minds will get with this theme. The prizes are R500 for the winning poster and R500 for the winning essay,” Maré said.
