Come walk through the Benoni Art Route

The event will be hosted in the form of a walk-through exhibition at CR Swart Park, Rynfield

Art lovers are invited to the Benoni Art Route walk-through exhibition on August 30 at CR Swart Park, Rynfield.

The members were supposed to host their first exhibition on the tranquil banks of the dam at CR Swart Park. However, the event was halted due to Covid-19.

Their exhibitions previously took place every three months at various locations in Benoni, including the Art Alive Studio in Northmead, Alistairs Art Gallery in Rynfield, Paul Botes Studio in Farrarmere and Cherrylane Gourmet Café in Northmead.

Chairperson of the Benoni Art Route Larry Mervitz previously told the City Times the members were excited about the new venue and encouraged the community to come along and embrace this fresh change.

The Benoni Art Route consists of 21 artists who will now be creating and displaying their works at CR Swart Park on the last Sunday of the month, from 9am to 3pm,? Mervitz said.

Attendees must wear their masks and practise social distancing.

All works are for sale, so you may just find that perfect piece of art for your home or office.
