Benoni High cricketer ecstatic about her Gsport awards nomination

Last year, the budding star was nominated for Emerging Athlete of the Year

Madison Landsman (16), a Grade 10 learner at Benoni High School (BHS), received a nomination for her outstanding achievements in cricket, for the category School Sport Star.

Nominations are considered for a young girl in sport under the age of 18 who has excelled athletically with the focus being on personal improvement, alongside outstanding achievement during the year, reviewing through June 30, 2019 to June 30, 2020.

As Gsport gears up to host the 15th annual Gsport Awards, Landsman couldn’t be more excited and honoured to have been nominated.

“I am extremely grateful and excited to be nominated for the second year running. Last year I was nominated for Emerging Athlete of the Year,” Landsman explained.

“I cannot put into words what it feels like to be recognised as a young lady on such a big platform, but what I can say is that Gsport is an unbelievable company and they have supported me incredibly. The way they promote women in sport is just sensational and I am super stoked to be a part of the Gsport community!”

Benoni High School posted on their Facebook page: “She is seen as a role model to the youth and is on her way to greatness. Good Luck Madison!”

Finalists will be announced on August 1.
