Body found on pavement in Crystal Park

He had bruises on his upper body and was declared dead by paramedics on the scene

The Crystal Park SAPS have opened an inquest docket after the body of a man, believed to be in his early 40’s, was found on July 21 in Draaihals Street, Extension 32, Crystal Park, at around 2.15pm.

SAPS spokesperson Sgt Lerato Mopeli said the man was found by a passerby when then contacted the police.

“It is believed that the man might have been killed somewhere and then dumped on the side of the road,” said Mopeli. “He had bruises on his upper body and was declared dead by paramedics on the scene. The deceased was wearing black jeans, black boots, a green shirt and black jacket. A wallet with a bank card initialed L Zitha was found.”
