A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her friend’s uncle who gave her a lift home on May 30 in Putfontein.
Puftontein SAPS spokesperson Sgt Raider Ubisi said the minor visited a friend in Daveyton and when she wanted to go home around 7pm, the friend asked her uncle to take her home.

“At that time of the night there were no taxis. As the uncle was driving the minor home, he stopped on the way and raped her,” said Ubisi.
“He then took her home and told her not to tell anyone as he will take care of all her needs.”
