Local fashion designer wants to make her mark

The multi-talented Modikwane is determined to take on the world with her outstanding work

Lerato Modikwane (22), founder of Fashion Predictor, is determined to make it in the fashion industry.

The Daveyton resident is a self-made fashion designer who got her inspiration from her mother, her pillar of strength and support system throughout her journey.

Her love for fashion started when she was 11 when she used one of her mother’s tablecloths to design her first garment.

“I was amazed because I had no clue what I was doing and I did not think the garment would come out perfectly fine.

“I didn’t own a sewing machine at that time either.?I believe that when God gave you a skill and has set up a plan for you nothing will stop you to accomplish your desires,” said Modikwane.
