Daveyton family says goodbye to a loved one
Mogale died at the Sandton Mediclinic. He was born on April 4, 1942 in Boksburg and he is the second born of the late Piet Maila and Mary Mogale.
The funeral of the late Sello Daniel Mogale (80) from Daveyton was held at the Mogale premises on April 3, following regulations of the 21-day national lockdown.
Fifty guests including family and community members attended to pay their last respect to the late Mogale.
The family were afforded 30 minutes at the Phumlani cemetery to complete proceedings. This is after the family went through a difficult patch in order to bury their loved one under the Covid-19 rules.
“While mourning I had to also keep the regulations in mind on how to bury a loved one during these trying times,” said one of the children, Oupa Mogale.
“There was a lot of misunderstanding with the officials on getting the right documents in order to proceed with the funeral arrangements.”

Mogale would tell his family that his obituary is not necessary but his contribution to life is vital.
According to a press release by Ministry of Police, it state that according to the regulations of persons travelling for the purpose of burial or cremation may obtain a permit to travel, from the magistrate or a police station.
It is important for the individual seeking a permit to also give their date of return that will reflect on the permit.
Furthermore, the limit on number of people in attendance at a funeral remains 50 to curb the spread of the corona virus.
