Woman hospitalised after house burns in Northmead

Donations can be dropped off at 48A Gousblom Street, Northmead.

A house burnt down on Farrar Street, Northmead around 2pm this afternoon (January 25) leaving one woman hospitalised.

“We arrived on scene around 2.15pm and the whole house was already on fire,” said CPF Sector Two chairperson Clive Patterson.

“We are appealing for donations for the family of four as they lost everything.”

Patterson said it is not clear what caused the fire but applauded the firefighters on their swift arrival after the call to them was made.

“I also want to thank the community for the donations that have been made so far,” he said.

The family is in need of any donations from toiletries to food and clothing for girls between the ages of eight to 11 years old and boys aged between six to seven years old.
