Community members help to clean up Korsman
Black bags and gloves were provided at the clean-ups, which was also suitable for school learners’ community service.
Two litter pickups to clean the Korsman Conservancy in Westdene saw environmental enthusiasts band together under the guidance of chairperson of Korsman Jane Trembath to tidy up around the pan.
“At the end of November, after our late rains came, we carried out a Dangerous and Dirty pickup that lived up to its name,” said Trembath.
“We host a number of litter pickups during the year.”

Over 20 people were involved with both clean-ups.
“We also have corporates and school groups that come here to do clean-ups,” said Trembath.
The Korsman Conservancy is funded by membership fees and donations made to clean the area.
