Santa hands out personalised gift packs

“I have been doing this for many years and the smiles on the children’s faces makes it all worth it.”

Children from Mgababa, Magethini, Pitoli and Colin House Benoni were invited to share in the festive spirit on December 7 at an early Christmas party hosted by Chris and Audrey Todd-Venter at the Old Benonians sports club.

The rainy weather did not dampen spirits as Santa arrived to hand out personalised gift packs.

RCL learners from Benoni High School assisted by entertaining the children, while sweets, sandwiches and cake were served.

Event coordinator Audrey Todd-Venter said: “I host these events because my mother taught me that it is better to give than to receive and to show love to everyone no matter who they are or where they come from.
