Lakeside Mall is hosting a safety campaign for shoppers this festive season

The campaign is divided into three categories: Money wise, home safety and personal safety.

The iThemba Rape and Trauma Support Centre staff, together with the Benoni SAPS, were part of the Lakeside Mall Safety 101 community safety awareness campaign on November 15. The two organisations interacted with the shoppers and provided them with safety tips. Lakeside Mall is hosting a Safety 101 community safety awareness campaign during the month of November.

The campaign aims to educate and inform shoppers and the community at large about safety precautions and tips in time for the busy festive season.

The campaign is divided into three categories: Money wise, home safety and personal safety.

They partnered with financial institutions and various stakeholders such as the iThemba Rape and Trauma Support Centre, SAPS, Ekurhuleni Metro Police, Ekurhuleni Emergency Services, Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services and Fidelity Security.

The money wise campaign was held on November 9, the personal safety on November 15 and 16.

On November 23, the VIP Boxing Academy will demonstrate self-defence methods or tips at the Town Square from 9am to 3pm.
