New CPF committee elected in Putfontein, crime trends discussed

The community and the outgoing CPF commitee was thanked by the Putfontein SAPS for their commitment and support.

The Putfontein SAPS, Sector Two CPF and community members recently came together to discuss crime in the area and elect a new CPF committee.

“Cable theft at night was raised during the meeting as a major concern, while police visibility in between 2am and 3am was also discussed,” said Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Const Raider Ubisi.

“The outgoing chairperson of the CPF, Gerhard van Seventer congratulated the newly elected committee and told them that he is still available should they need clarity on any issues,” added Ubisi.

“He also told them to form a strong bond with Putfontein SAPS and further stated that the newly elected committee need to familiarise themselves with the way the SAPS operates,” concluded Ubisi.
