Grateful resident writes:

I wanted to bring to your attention that there were a few motor vehicle accidents in the Benoni Western Extension area over the past few weeks, last week Thursday, on the corner of Wooton Avenue and Turvey Street, and on the corner off Kimbolton and Mowbray avenues.

Adele Labuschagne and her son Brandon (13) are not from the Benoni CPF, but they were there to help regulate the traffic to prevent another accident from happening.

More Scouts and Cubs needed

Even when EMPD arrived on scene, no-one took over the traffic, so I think Adele and Brandon need a big thank you from the Benoni residents.

While the other spectators only stood there and had a look, Adele and Brandon jumped in and helped with something.

Editor’s note:

Traffic complaints have been sent to the EMPD and the City Times is awaiting a response.
