Benoni Lakes Lions makes thousands at book sale

The Lions intend on distributing the blankets to residents at The Salvation Army at a later stage.

A whopping R17 630 was made at the recent Benoni Lakes Lions Club autumn book sale held at Lakeside Mall.

A variety of books, CDs and DVDs at the best prices were sold for proceeds to go towards projects supported by the club.

Those who donated blankets also received free books.

“We have a variety of books and a total of 16 crates filled with books,” said Lions member, Beaulieu Maré.
