An inquest docket was opened at the Putfontein SAPS after a 73-year-old man was found dead on May 6 in an open veld near the Sentrarand railway, Putfontein, around 6pm.

Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Const Raider Ubisi said the man was reported missing on May 2.
“The man’s car was found abandoned on May 5 near the railway line in Sentrarand with its keys inside,” said Ubisi.
