The Animal Guardians stand against cruelty

TAG focuses on various outreach programmes with sterilisation being their primary objective.

The Animal Guardians (TAG) is a non-profit animal shelter located at 86 Cloverdene Road, Rynfield AH, and was officially opened on November 8, 2014.

The shelter was started to assist animals in underprivileged areas.

The founders of the shelter believe that education in proper animal care is extremely important and goes a long way in preventing cruelty.

The shelter has sterilised over 10 000 animals to date.

TAG can house 67 dogs and 48 cats as well as poultry, goats and pigs.

The shelter has a charity shop which serves as a source of income and hosts regular fund-raisers in order to make up for shortfalls.

TAG is open from 8.30am to 5pm on weekdays, from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays and from 9am to noon on Sundays.
