There is a new branch commander for the Detectives Unit at the Crystal Park SAPS.
Capt Elaine van den Berg, who started her role at the station in February, said she is looking forward to working with her colleagues and bring a positive change within their department.
She has been a police officer for 25 years.

Van den Berg was previously stationed at the Etwatwa SAPS as the group commander for the detectives.
She said she will do her best in making sure that criminals are brought to book.
“To help make our investigations a success we urge the community to be more willing to be a witness and not to take the law into their hands as that is also a crime,” said Van den Berg.
