BFS arrests one and recovers vehicle

The Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) arrested a suspect in Atlasville and recovered a vehicle in Tembisa recently.

“A motorist was arrested after fleeing from BFS members and eventually losing control of his vehicle on the corner of Venus and Star streets, Atlasville,” said BFS spokesperson WO Grant Giblin.

“The suspect, aged 18, is scheduled to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on charges of reckless and negligent driving and fleeing the scene of an accident,” Giblin concluded.

“In further policing, members recovered an abandoned vehicle in Isphetweni section, Tembisa.”

Giblin said the silver Nissan Qashqai was hijacked in Kempton Park.
