Super Sokkie to wow crowds and usher in New Year

The Super Sokkie starts at 9pm with entry from 8pm to take guests right up to the countdown at midnight.

Ring in 2019 with a frivolous evening of hip-swaying dancing alongside some of South Africa’s best-loved Afrikaans artists at the biggest ever, beach-styled Super Sokkie at Carnival City on December 31.

Kurt Darren, the king of Afrikaans pop, is bringing the fourth instalment of the hit sokkie dance party to Carnival City’s versatile Sun Park which boasts an outdoor beach area and a vast indoor marquee. Revellers can look forward to partying into 2019 with hugely popular artists outdoors, indoors and on the beach – a first for the Super Sokkie in Gauteng.

On the bill are Kurt Darren himself, Pieter Koen, Ricus Nel, Leah, Ray Dylan and Jan Bloukaas. These charismatic artists will treat guests to an energetic party featuring popular hits. The Super Sokkie on the beach will feature an array of food trucks and themed bars to keep partygoers’ energy levels up.

Over the past three years, Super Sokkie has proven to be the ultimate New Year celebration, with thousands of Afrikaans music lovers flocking to dance their way into the next year.

Tickets are priced at R150 a person at Computicket.
