Benoni woman dies eight months after her husband
A memorial service was held for her on November 30 at the Baptist Church in Crystal Park.
Patricia Anne Tilley died on October 31, at the Linmed Hospital of heart failure, just eight months after the death of her husband, Mike Tilley.
The couple was well known in Benoni for their involvement in many local clubs and organisations.
Patricia was born in Johannesburg on January 22, 1940, where she grew up and later studied social work.

She founded, chaired or was involved with local clubs such as the Benoni Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Benoni Women’s Bureau, founded a local branch of Soroptimist International and the Benoni Consumer League, to name a few.
Patricia was also a LifeLine counsellor for 10 years.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Tania, Sharlene and Michelle.
