Don’t miss it – ‘it’s simply the best’

'Let's stay together' for this show.

Tina Turner fans are in for a treat today (August 31), as Caroline Borole takes on the role of the legendary songstress in a dazzling two-hour full-scale stage production at Emperors Palace in Tina: Simply the Best.

South African-born Borole will be backed by a live band as she performs Turner’s biggest hits, including Simply the Best, What’s Love Got to Do with It, River Deep Mountain High, Proud Mary, Nutbush City Limits, Private Dancer and many more.

Borole was born and raised in the South Western Townships, otherwise known as Soweto.

No shocker that the singer only listens to Turner on her playlist.

“I draw inspiration from strong women in my life and industry ladies too,” she said in a press release.

“My mother is at the top of the list of course, but my biggest musical influences are divas like Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Miriam Makheba and Dorothy Masuku, to name a few.”

Borole said it feels incredible to sing songs from a living legend who is still a force to be reckoned with.

“Miss Tina is a show that female performers dream of performing on stage, and I get to live that dream so it’s pretty special,” she explained.

The beaut will be performing until September 16 and tickets start from R180 per person and can be purchased through the Emperors Palace Box Office on 011 928 1297/1213 or from Computicket.
