Local youngster hopes to dribble her way to international victory and talks FIFA WC

“France for a FIFA win” says Tyla-Breé Joss who is on her way to becoming a footballing legend

Tyla-Breé Joss, a Benoni High School learner of note, is making strides in national football.

The 18 year old is full of energy and determined to play the game on an international level.

Starting off at the tender age of four and playing in boy’s clubs until she was 12, Joss managed to harness her natural-born talent into her biggest passion and soon to be professional career.

“Playing against boys made me stronger,” she said.

“I love tackling the boys out there.”

Joss said that along with the physical development of playing with male counterparts on the pitch, this type of training and gaming experience also enhances mental and emotional development.

“She just has a love for it,” Lara said.

“It’s unreal to watch her; you can see how passionate she is about the game.

“Growing up no matter what the weather was like or if she was even a little unwell she would always insist on going to training and matches.”

The young star is also the only U20 to make appearances in the national women’s team Banyana Banyanya and is part of the Janine van Wyk (JVW) club in Bedfordview.
