R10 makes a dream a reality

Help to make a dream come true.

Do you want to support the Reach For A Dream project to help those in need?

Well, this Friday (May 11) you can by wearing a wristband bought from any Wimpy outlet for R10.

Slipper Day at Wimpy 2018 follows after another successful year where Wimpy managed to raise R1.4-million from the sales of Slipper Day bracelets in store.

And that’s not all. Wimpy is also giving a free Famous Wimpy Coffee on May 11 to anyone who wears their wristbands and slippers.

Wimpy gave away 33 276 cups of free Famous Wimpy Coffee on Slipper Day to all who came through with their wristbands and slippers in 2017.

“We were incredibly proud of how much we were able to raise last year through the sale of Slipper Day wristbands,” said Jacques Cronje, marketing executive at Wimpy South Africa.

“But this year we want to aim a little higher. We want to challenge all South African’s to come out, buy their wristbands, rock their slippers and help us to raise even more money to make the hopes and dreams of little ones across the country come true.”

Wristbands are already on sale at Wimpy outlets.

Reach For A Dream was established in 1988.

The organisation makes dreams come true for children suffering from serious, often terminal, illnesses.

Through Reach For A Dream, hundreds of South African children have been able to enjoy the simple things many of us take for granted, like birthday parties.

They are also often given the chance to explore the extraordinary, by swimming with dolphins, for instance, or meeting their lifelong heroes.

Don’t forget to purchase your Slipper Day wristbands which are already on sale and you can redeem your coffee on May 11 when you walk in wearing your wristband and slippers.
