A man, believed to be in his 40s, was seriously injured following a shooting on Prince’s Avenue this morning (April 18).
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found local authorities on scene.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, said upon closer inspection, paramedics found the victim lying in the middle of the road surrounded by members of the local authorities.
“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper leg, leaving him in a serious condition,” Meiring said.
“The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions.”
Once treated, he was transported to Tembisa Hospital under the supervision of local authorities.
Police did not comment on the matter at the time of publishing.
