Hundreds of thousand of rands were donated to charity.
Round Table Golden East 181 held its AGM on February 21.
The night featured the election of the chairman’s executive council and a report on successful projects undertaken in the 2017/18 year.

“In summary, the community in the East Rand will be proud to know that Round Table Golden East 181 hosted 20 functions/projects with efforts in raising money for our community and drive members to join the organisation,” said Gareth van Wyk, the public relations officer for the club.
“Over 1 200 man-hours were worked with a total contribution of R480 000 in donations, of which R160 000 was donated in cash.
“Round Table Golden East would like to thank the community as you play a quintessential part in raising funds and helping us to do the charity work we do.”
