According to Actonville SAPS spokesperson Capt Pheelloo Mothapo, another meeting will be held at a later stage, but the meeting that was held on Friday night saw plans to realise the following:
• Increase patrolling and visibility around the area.
• Install cameras around the business areas and inside shops.
• Involve car guards in the programme with the aim of assisting and rehabilitating them.
• To invite hostel indunas to be involved.
“Most of the suspects run to the hostel after committing crime,” Mothapo said.
