Stray horse captured, relocated

The owner of the animal is asked to visit the Benoni SPCA

If you are missing a horse, you need to visit the Benoni SPCA.

The organisation took in a horse wandering in the Lindelani informal settlement on January 23.

Chief Sup Wilfred Kgasago, spokesperson for the EMPD, said the animal appeared agitated and was “galloping aimlessly and dangerously around the settlement”.

“The SPCA members sought the assistance of the EMPD Equestrian Unit to search for the horse,” said Kgasago.

“Both parties sprang into action and by 2pm, the stray horse was located, cornered and safely led into the Equestrian Unit’s horse transportation trailer.”

The animal was later taken to the Benoni SPCA.

The society is situated at 3 Klein Street, Lakefield.
