WATCH: All smiles for Grade One newbies

It was the first time for Grade One learners to try on their school uniforms and go to school for a full school day on January 17.

Some were excited as they walked into their new classroom, while others had teary eyes as they tried to keep a brave face in front of their new classmates.

These are learners from Benoni Junior, St Dunstan’s Preparatory, Pioneer and Actonville Primary schools.

Former St Dunstan’s College learner Melissa de Lima keeps the school in her family as her daughter, Leah (6), starts Grade One at the school.
