On a ‘lighter’ note, check out these Christmas venues

To light up your festive season, we have another light submission:

• 2 Ensign Avenue, Airfield.

Lights will be on from December 16 to January 1 (weather permitting).

Sunday to Thursday from 7pm to 9pm.

Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 10pm.

• Emperors Palace 10th annual Garden of Lights.

Christmas lights will be operational from December 8 to January 3 between 7pm to 10pm (weather permitting).

The fee to enter the garden of the Peermont D’oreale Grande Hotel at Emperors Palace is R25 per person or R100 for a family package of five people.

Children under the age of two enter for free.

Proceeds from the entrance fee will be donated to Cansa.

• Christmas Cottage at 47 11th Avenue, Northmead.

Christmas lights will be switched on from December 9 to 26 from 7.30pm to 10pm.

Santa Claus and the Top Dogs will be visiting on December 15 and 16 from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Letters to Santa may be dropped off at the location too and if you supply a local return address, Mother Christmas will answer all the letters.

• Christmas lights at 4 Duiker Street, Dewald Hattingh Park.

Lights are operational from December 11 to January 5 between 7pm and 10pm.

• St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Miles Sharp Street.

Lights are switched on from 7pm to 9pm currently until December 24.

A carols evening will be held at the church on December 17 at 6pm.
