Benonians walk for Palestine

Naeem Khan, one of the organisers of the Walk, told the City Times that he was part of a South African community soccer team as a coach that played in a Nakba soccer tournament in Palestine.

He said he could not keep quiet about what he had seen.

“Palestinians are stopped at check points where women, children and the elderly are kept for hours,” he said.

Money raised from the event is given to Gift of the Givers which runs a women and child centre in Gaza.
