Benoni boy brilliant on the BMX
Benonian Joshua Broughton (5), son of ’80s BMX star and now off-road rider Justin Broughton and Maxine Nortje (former enduro racer), competed in the recent BMX nationals and South African Championship held at Kempton Park BMX Club.
Joshua only started riding four months ago and is showing huge potential which has earned him a spot as a Soloray Kenny Team rider.
He claimed a first and a third position at the nationals after qualifying on the Saturday.
On the Sunday he qualified for the finals.
