Uniting for bunnies
Members of the community supported the Benoni Bunny Park Animals 911 Group’s silent protest held outside the Bunny Park on September 23.
Residents lined up on Pretoria Road, holding signs with messages.
The protest was held between 3pm and 6pm.
Karien van Wyk, from the Benoni Bunny Park Animals 911 Group, said the aim of the protest was to put pressure on the EMM to take responsibility for their actions and sterilise the bunnies in order for them to be rehomed.
Ban Animal Trading was also present on the day.
