Comrades entries fly in from Northerns
With entries for the 2018 Comrades Marathon selling out like hotcakes, the organisers of the world’s oldest and longest ultramarathon extended the number of entries from 20 000 to 21 500 last week.
Benoni Northerns Athletics Club (BNAC) is the second most enthusiastic of the traditional running clubs with 217 registered entries.
“We have never been so high up on the list,” said club chairman Derek Wright.
BNAC athletes, are working hard in preparation for next year’s down run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban on June 10.
