SAPS search for house robbery suspects

A case of house robbery was opened at the Putfontein Police Station on September 3 after four people were shot.

“The four were celebrating a birthday for one of their family members not knowing that their celebration would be short-lived later on,” said Putfontein SAPS spokesperson, Capt Justice Ramaube.

“Four male suspects stormed the party fully armed with firearms.”

According to Ramaube the suspects allegedly ordered the victims to lie face down before robbing them of their assets.

“It turns out that the family did not comply well with the suspects’ instructions and ended up being shot at by the suspects,” he explained.

The victims were then taken to Far East Rand Hospital for further medical observation.

No arrests have been made as yet while investigations are underway.

“We are appealing to the community to assist with information and contact police on 08600 10111 or 011 845 6315,” Ramaube said.
