Murdered victim identified as Daveyton resident

The body of a man found in Bredell was identified on August 30 as Daveyton resident, Jabulane Doctor Kabinde (31).

According to the City Times’ sister paper, Kempton Express, Kabinde’s body was found on August 2 by a passerby.

After seeing an article published in a national newspaper, Kabinde’s brother stepped forward and was able to positively identify his sibling’s body.

He had bruises on his face and lower body and rodents had already began feeding on his hands and nose.

Kabinde was wearing black trousers, a black t-shirt and a black lumber jacket.

According to Kempton SAPS spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was kidnapped in Davetyon, apparently after an accident on July 30.

“It is believed on the same day, Kabinde was driving his friend’s car when he was involved in a car accident,” Mtshali told Kempton Express.

“It is alleged arguments ensued and the deceased was assaulted.

“His body was dumped later.”

Police are now looking for a group of men for questioning in connection with his death.

“We are still looking for the culprits and appeal to anyone who has information to come forward,” Mtshali said.
