Parow has friends in Benoni
The Green Live hosted yet another vibrant party at the Brandy Fest on Saturday at Benoni Northern Sports Club.
Several artists were invited to entertain guests, including a Cape Town resident who loves Benoni, Jack Parow.
“My song ‘Cooler As Ekke’ says I have friends in Benoni, because I do,” Parow told the City Times.
“At the time of writing the song, I lived with my roommate Herman Potgieter, who is from Benoni.”
As Parow spent more time with Potgieter, he became more acquainted with Potgieter’s friends in Benoni, who then became his friends.
“I have visited Benoni on several occasions and I am even friends with Gavin Williams who was involved in the Straight Outta Benoni movie.”
Parow attended the festival in Benoni because he enjoys the Benoni environment and loves brandy even more.
