One dies, several injured in Benoni vehicle accidents
One person died and several others were injured in three separate accidents across Benoni in the early hours of this morning (August 27).
Sanjay Sukdeo, ER24’s spokesperson, said a man in his mid-20s died when his vehicle veered off the N12 highway at about 1am.

The incident happened at the Atlas Road off-ramp, when travelling east.
The light motor vehicle came to a standstill in the veld.

In another accident at about 2am, Sukdeo said a woman in her 20s sustained minor injures in an accident on Brentwood Park Road, near Venus Road.
There was no other vehicle involved in the accident.
The male driver of the overturned car was apparently arrested at the scene of the accident, but the City Times could not confirm this at the time of publishing.
About an hour later in Crystal Park, five women were involved in a single-vehicle collision along Nicator Road, at about 3am.
Sukdeo said the vehicle crashed through a fence.
Three of the occupants were transported to hospital with minor injuries and one with moderate injuries.
The fifth occupant was not injured.
