Little dancer has the moves

The event is a prestigious one in the world of dance and attracts participants from various countries around the globe.

There were four competitions throughout the year which Mienie was required to compete in to gain qualification to the world championships.

She proved her talent by placing in the first position in all of the qualifying events.

Last year the dancer competed in the same championships and brought home the title of the u-12 world champion for freestyle.

She finished as runner-up for slow dance in the championship section.

Since then it was her dream to go back in 2017 and take part in the premier championship section, a level higher than the title she won in 2016.

She spent endless hours in the studio training and working on her dances with her trainers Shanleigh Watts, David Jones, Steve Noall and Thea Mosterdt.

Mienie finished in fourth place in the premier freestyle section but achieved her second world title as the Premier World Slowdance Champion.
