We regularly walked down Sixth Avenue, Northmead, as all the shops are within walking distance; we walk almost every night and afternoon.

Certain areas on the street are illuminated.

A few years ago a house was wrecked and a parking area was extended on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Second Street.

The builders messed some concrete in the driveway, but no one cleaned it up.

This is an obstacle for pedestrians, bikers and the like.

She is still in pain and may develop back and neck problems.

She visited a clinic and learnt that she had cracked a rib and a sprained wrist from the incident.

Surely the metro should have removed this dried concrete a long time ago?

Editor’s note:

The letter was sent to the Ekurhuleni metro for comment.
