Benoni’s swimmers are right up there
Each year Swimming South Africa (SSA) compiles a database of times from all the swimmers in South Africa who have competed in the season.
The top times are then processed and the swimmers are ranked per age group and per event.
“Each and every one of our Benoni Swimming Club swimmers placed in the top 50 per cent of their respective age groups this season,” said the club’s new public relations officer Melanie Jones.
Two swimmers from the club who made the top five in the country in their age groups are Brogan Jones (218 boys in his age group) and Daniel Baker (451 boys in his age group).
All Benoni swimmers who made it from position six to 100 in their respective age groups and events in the country are:
Daniel Baker, Brogan Jones, Jessica Boyes, Joshua Kennerley, Daniel Baker, Caitlin Geldenhuys, Kiara Geldenhuys, Luke Baker, Matthew Helps, Tristan Kennerley, Erin Barnes, Kayla Burger, Kendal Pattle, Kyle Stephens, Jaden Williams, Michael Conroy, Nicole de Beer, Kendall Haslehurst, Quintin Botes and Robert Drummond.
“As a club, we could not be prouder of these results and are in full training for the start of the new season,” added Jones.
