Benoni Country Club proud to host the 2017 Benoni City Times Buco Rietpan Charity Golf Day

It’s as colourful as that proud peacock displaying his feathers to potential mates.

It’s the 2017 version of the Benoni City Times Buco Rietpan Charity Golf Day and it’s an event you simply have to be a part of on Wednesday, September 6.

Taking place at a new host venue, the historic and stunning BCC, this year’s charity golf day aims to raise as much funds as possible for needy humans and furry critters in the community.

As announced last week, 2017’s charity golf day beneficiaries will be the Manger Care Centre and the Benoni SPCA.

Darren Millington, CEO of BCC, said that the club is excited to host the popular event.

“From BCC’s perspective it is a great honour to be able to host the Benoni City Times Buco Rietpan Charity Golf Day considering the work that the City Times does for charities and for the community in general,” he said.

“Obviously, with regards to the recent BCC development matter with the council and the involvement of the City Times and the community with regards to saving BCC and us soon signing a new long-term lease, it is important for us to give back to the community and for us to offer our facility at reduced rates to the City Times and the community.”

Millington added that the average golfer can expect to arrive and play at a world-class facility on the day.

“The golf course itself is in unbelievable condition.

“Obviously we’ll be coming straight out of winter, but we have really had a fantastic start to our spring treatment here and I believe that the course will be the best it has ever been that time of year.”

The CEO said that the club has invested a large amount of money in the last year towards upgrading their facilities to ensure that the community receives a world-class facility at affordable rates.
