Firstly, Oakwood has experienced issues with water for the past four years; calls were logged, but nothing was resolved.

Three weeks ago one of the trustees at Oakwood (Shernis) made contact with the Ward 73 councillor.

Within 24 hours he managed to get people on site to resolve the problem which was truly remarkable.

On another occasion, when Benoni area didn’t have water due to pipes being mainatained, the councillor had water trucks in the area the day.

When residents came home from work, trucks were on site again.

The councillor had trucks on site until 9pm and he was present as well, making sure people were being seen to.

He also had trucks check in at the Fountains Complex, Springbok Court as well as Maria Mansions.

We thank him for his dedication and commitment.
