These Benoni kids want to be YouTube sensations

Young, vibrant and talented duo, Nathan Moore (12) and Gabriel Prinsloo (12), better known as the Tweedle Dope Twins, want to be future YouTube sensations.

The duo has a YouTube channel called Tweedle Dope Twins, where they showcase their dancing skills.

Even though they have only nine subscribers, they see themselves as future celebrities.

The two best friends realised their passion for dancing when they met in Grade Four at Farrarmere Primary School.

Nathan said their name comes from the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum characters from Disney’s animated feature Alice in Wonderland.

“However, we are the dope version and fitter than the characters,” said Nathan.

Gabriel said they make up their own dance moves and they don’t copy anyone.

“We also like showing off our moves, like at the grocery stores and school functions,” said Nathan.

Gabriel added that when you have a talent, you must always be confident and don’t pay attention to what other people say.

The duo want to be professional soccer players and dancers when they finish school.

Evol Prinsloo, Gabriel’s mother, said she does encourage them to do what they love and always be themselves.

“I always tell them that they are special just the way they are and they must not be afraid of rejection, because not everyone will like what you’re doing,” said Prinsloo.

“But, their school work must always come first before the dancing.”

She added that both boys work hard at school and they get distinctions.
