Benonians are wonderful

Amy G Wilkins writes:

On April 18, at about 5.45am, I was involved in an accident on the corner of Great North Road and Cloudy Street.

I would like to thank Michael Goose and his father for stopping and assisting me at the accident scene, especially considering they were heading to the hospital for an appointment, but despite this, they still took the time to help me.

Goose was kind enough to help me contact my boyfriend, Gavin Bird, as I was in a state of shock and disorientated due to my car spinning.

He made sure I was okay and that Gavin was on his way, before leaving the scene.

What made it even more special is the fact that Goose, as well as his father, embraced me in a hug, which helped to reassure me that I would be okay.

To Michael and his father, without your help I don’t know what I would’ve done.

Thank you both so much for your kindness and support, it means the world to me.

I would also like to thank Clinton Elbourne for helping me send a message through to the CPF WhatsApp group.

Due to the shock I was in, I did not think to take down Goose’s details and through the support of the CPF community (Mr Rolf – Mr Goose’s work colleague) was able to contact me and give me all the details needed.

It just goes to show what a wonderful community Benoni has and as a community how we are willing to help each other in situations like these.
