The incident happened in Heilbron Street, at around 11am.
WO Rudi Sieberts, Crystal Park SAPS communications officer, said four men overpowered the resident of the home, who was hanging up washing.
“They forced her inside, tied her hands and covered her face with a blanket before demanding to know where the safe was,” said Sieberts.
“The complainant informed them that there was no safe.”
The robbers ransacked the house and took a TV, jewellery, cellphone and a wallet.
They fled in a silver Toyota Run-X.
The victim untied herself and called for held. She was not harmed.
A case of house robbery has been opened.
