Capt Ramothakhi Maqabe, the police’s Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson, said a silver VW Polo was found in Actonville.

The robbery took place at the mall’s Hayward Diamonds at about 12.05pm.
Maqabe said three armed men entered the store, pretending to be customers.

They stole jewellery and fled the scene in two vehicles.
Although the car was found, the robbers and stolen goods were not present in the vehicle.
A white Mercedes-Benz used in the robbery has not been located.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
Lakeside Mall management confirmed the incident.
A case of business robbery has been opened and no arrests have been made.
