Metro does well

A few weeks ago I reported a blocked sewer in the vicinity of my house in Farrarmere, which was logged with the Ekurhuleni Water and Sanitation Department.

My call to the service centre was answered promptly.

Within two hours help arrived from the municipality.

They attempted to clear the blockage only to ascertain that the problem lay in the municipal sewer in the road.

It was a difficult problem to solve and the staff of the municipality stayed committed to their work until the problem was finally alleviated, despite having to work in the rain and dark for a number of hours.

Hats off and thanks to the manager and staff of the Ekurhuleni Water and Sanitation Department for a job well done.
