Birdwatching has helped me tremendously over the years, especially in dealing with and overcoming traumatic events.

Our lives have become stressful to merely survive in the concrete jungles that we have created.

I have found that a bit of birding, even in our daily lives, has opened my eyes to new heights.

That moment when you literally stop, pause, pick up your binoculars and take time to observe the beauty of any bird, gives and feeds your soul with a lot of goodness.

For a brief moment in time, one is able to feel the beauty that surrounds us.

You are then able to absorb all the good sightings that mother nature literally downloads in split seconds.

The senses then become heightened in the most positive way and you find yourself thinking that all is again well.

You just have to take the time to slow the moments down and you will find yourself wanting to spot, identify and possibly even study up on the next bird sighting, which may be the eagle or a beautiful sparrow.
