N12 closed to airlift critically injured man
A man was critically injured when he was ejected from the vehicle he was driving on the N12 highway this evening (March 26).
The single-vehicle accident happened at the Kingsway on-ramp, just after 6pm.
Liam Hardy, ER24 spokesperson, said paramedics found the male, who is in his early 30s, outside the car.
The highway was closed in both directions to allow for a Netcare helicopter to land.
The man was airlifted to the Union Hospital in Alberton.
