Five laptops stolen in break-in

A case of business break-in was opened at the Benoni Police Station this morning (March 6), after five laptops were stolen.

Benoni SAPS spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele confirmed that there was a break-in on O’Reilly Merry, Northmead.

“It was reported that when one of the employees arrived this morning at around 8am, she realised that there was a break-in,” said Sekele.

“It is alleged that the robbers gained entry to the property from a window, as the burglar bars were tampered with.”

“However, it’s not clear when exactly the incident occurred,” said Sekele.

No arrests have been made. The police are investigating the matter.
